One of the topics for discussion at the ALA Annual meeting for the YALSA Board of Directors was if the organization should devote resources to creating a presence on Second Life. In the end we decided it wasn't a reasonable investment at this time, but it did get me thinking about the future of online services to teens.Are any of you active on Second Life? What benefits might there be for librarians?

You know, I haven't really played around with Second Life at all. I'm not really sure I see its purpose or why it's better than other virtual conference options.
